WordPress analytics plugin — Modovisa
Live visitor tracking for WordPress without a dashboard full of averages. Install the plugin from WordPress.org, paste your site token, and watch real traffic arrive.
What the plugin gives you
The plugin injects the Modovisa script correctly on every page, so you are not editing theme headers or losing tracking on a theme update. Everything else happens in the Modovisa dashboard, shared with any other sites on your account.
- Live visitors with referrer, country, device and current page
- Page journeys across posts, landing pages and archives
- UTM tables on Standard and above for campaign traffic
- Session replay on paid plans and during the trial
Installing and verifying
Install Modovisa Analytics from the WordPress.org plugin directory (wordpress.org/plugins/modovisa-analytics) or upload the ZIP, activate it, then paste the site token from your dashboard. Load any page on your site and confirm you appear in the live view — that round trip is the whole verification.
Caching and optimisation plugins
The tracker is designed to survive aggressive optimisation. It loads async and is configured so script-deferring features cannot hold it back — the failure mode where a page caches fine but stops reporting traffic. If you use a combining or delay-JS plugin, exclude the Modovisa script from it.
Content sites and campaigns
For publishers the useful pairing is journeys plus UTMs: see which entry post pulled a visitor in, where they went next, and which newsletter or social campaign produced the visit. Growth adds the Campaigns workspace with goals and a link builder for consistent tagging.
Privacy and visitor data
Modovisa is first-party analytics: your WordPress site reports to your own workspace, not to an ad network, and the plugin adds nothing to your pages beyond the tracking script. Retention is 30 days on Free and unlimited on paid plans, a Data Processing Agreement is published if your organisation needs one on file, and deactivating the plugin stops collection immediately.
Frequently asked questions
Does the plugin work with WooCommerce?
Yes. WooCommerce pages are ordinary WordPress pages, so product, cart and checkout views appear in journeys like any other page.
Will a caching plugin break tracking?
Caching itself is fine because the script runs in the browser. Problems only come from plugins that delay, combine or defer JavaScript — exclude the Modovisa script there.
Is session replay on the Free plan?
Session replay is included on every paid plan and throughout the 21-day trial. After the trial the Free plan keeps live tracking and journeys, without replay, until you upgrade. Paid plans start at $14.99 a month.
Can I track a multisite network?
Yes. Paid plans include tiered site allowances, so each site in the network can have its own token and its own view in the dashboard. Free covers one site.
